We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Your name and email address when you join our waitlist or beta - Survey responses you submit about your parenting experiences and family circumstances - Account information if you create a Parent Survival account - Payment information processed securely via Stripe (we do not store card details) - Communications you send us
We also collect limited technical information automatically, including browser type and device information, how you arrived at our site, and pages visited and time spent on the platform.

Check-in and survey responses are used in two ways: individually, to inform your personalised insight; and aggregated and anonymised, to build our understanding of parenting challenges across the UK.
We will only use anonymised quotes from your responses in published guidance or reports if you have explicitly consented to this.
Your responses are never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for purposes other than those described above.
We process your personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR: Consent (for check-in participation, marketing communications and optional data uses), Contract (to fulfil your subscription and deliver the platform), and Legitimate interests (to improve our platform and understand how it is used).
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with our database provider (data stored in the EU region), Stripe (for payment processing), our email delivery provider, and our hosting provider. All third-party providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only as directed by us.
- Waitlist data: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion - Check-in and survey responses: retained for the duration of the platform and up to 3 years after closure - Account data: retained while your account is active and for 2 years after closure - Payment records: retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw consent at any time, object to processing, and data portability.

We use essential cookies to make the platform work. We also use Google Analytics and the Facebook Pixel to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising, but only after you've given consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit — neither runs before you choose. The Facebook Pixel shares some data about your visit with Meta (Facebook's parent company) for ad measurement — see Meta's own privacy policy for how they handle it. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
Parent Survival is intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. Survey and check-in responses about children are provided by the parent or carer completing them.If you choose to tell us your child has a diagnosis or is waiting for an assessment, we use it only to tailor the advice we give you. In a check-in, your answer is used for that insight and not kept. In My Hub, it's saved to your child's profile so their weekly plans can take it into account, and you can change or remove it at any time.
