As a mum of three — twin 10-year-olds and a four-year-old — I've experienced first-hand the realities of modern parenting.
We're raising children in a completely different world from the one many of us grew up in. Parents today have access to endless advice, expert opinions, podcasts, books, social media content and parenting influencers. Yet despite having more information than ever before, many of us still feel overwhelmed, unsupported and unsure where to turn when challenges arise.
The truth is, I don't have all the answers.
Every stage brings new challenges, and I'm still learning how to adapt my own parenting style to different situations, personalities and family dynamics. What works brilliantly one week can feel completely ineffective the next. Like most parents, I'm figuring it out as I go.
Some of the most honest parenting conversations I've had haven't come from experts. They've happened at the school gate, over coffee, in WhatsApp groups and during quick chats between busy parents. Those moments often reveal something powerful: we're all carrying similar worries, asking similar questions and trying our best to do the right thing for our children.
That's why I created Parent Survival.
Not because I have the perfect solution, but because I genuinely believe in the power of parents helping parents.
Every day, families across the UK are finding ways to navigate anxiety, behaviour, school challenges, friendships, screen time, SEND needs and the pressures of modern life. There is incredible wisdom, experience and support within our parenting communities — but too often it remains hidden in one-off conversations.
My vision is to bring those experiences together and create structured, practical support that helps families feel more confident, connected and less alone.
Most importantly, I'm passionate about helping parents and children build deeper relationships as they navigate this era together — not as opponents, but as partners.
